Job 28:28, “And this is what he says to

Job 28:28,

“And this is what he says to all humanity: “The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.”

With this passage in mind, I want us to look at our lives and analyze them. I want us to think, are we truly God fearing? If so, what does God fearing look like? God fearing from my perspective, is being reverent to the Lord’s presence, being fervent in prayer and fast, putting things before Him and allowing Him to work the way in which He sees best. Let’s not be foolish and think that we can do things on our in in any way, even in the small things. God is our rock and we need to fear Him, but not in the wrong way either. We shouldn’t go on about life saying that “I’m not going to do something or do anything major with my life because anyways the rapture is coming, anyways God does what He wants, anyways we are nothing compared to Him.” Instead we should say, I will do my BEST, for the Lord is coming, and I want to please Him well. Take for example the parable with the servants that received talents, one buried his talents and did nothing with them, the others went and reproduced more. Which was better in the end? The ones that went out and multiplied their talents. Have fear, but good fear. Have the right fear!

I hope you have a blessed day and stay strong in all your ways! God bless you! 🙂

Day 105

Today I just want to encourage each one of you with a passage from Numbers 6:24-26:

“May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.”

With this passage I want to pray the same things for you! God bless you today in all you do, and may you have the strength to pick up the cross today.

Day 102

Encouragement For The Spirit

Hello brothers and sisters! Today is such a good day because Christ has given it! I want to share something that can encourage us all to live as we should! The passage is found in Ephesians 5:15-21.

“15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

With this passage in mind, I want us to focus on a few things:

  1. We need to really check ourselves and make sure we look carefully at how we walk as verse 15 tells us. We don’t know who is watching or what our actions can lead to. Therefore, let’s only do things that can encourage, benefit, and do good for Christ, anything else is worthless.
  2. Also we should pray for understanding of God’s will as verse 17 tells us. We should really try to be wise and understanding.
  3. In verse 18 and 19, we are told to not get drunk, but to be filled with the spirit and sing and praise. With these two verses in mind, let’s make sure we are always being filled with the Spirit. Let’s make sure we are always encouraging one another and singing and praising the Lord with our hearts, externally as well as internally!
  4. Finally, let’s always be thankful and praising to the Lord for everything. Let’s be submissive to each other and to Christ, even if we may be right, or the other person is asking too much, or whatever the case may be, let’s be submissive, because that’s what the Bible is teaching us.

I want to thank you for taking time to read this post today. May God bless you and encourage you, give you wisdom and understanding, and may your heart be open to the change He has awaiting you. God bless and thanks once again!

Day 85

Living As Children Of The Light

Hey guys! In 1 Thessalonians 5 we see Paul teaching us that we are different. We are children of the light and we must be on guard and prepared for the Lord’s coming!

“5 For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. 6 So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. 7 Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. 8 But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.”

Let’s live as Paul tells us to! Let’s be sober minded. Let’s stand out and be the lights that the Father intends for us to be in this dark and evil world! Let’s not allow ourselves to conform to the evils of this world! Let’s shine for God! Let’s shine for His kingdom! Let’s shine because when we die, honestly only our relationship with Him will matter. Only what we did for Him and His kingdom will matter! Amen!

God bless you and thank you for taking the time to read this post! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just need to talk, I am willing! or 847-322-0518

Day 64

Fleeing From Sin

I’ve been reading from the Old Testament a lot recently, but God put on my heart Genesis 39 again, but for other reasons. The first time it was to show me that with God on our side, nothing is impossible and that we should strive to be faithful to God so we can stand out and be set apart. This time it was to show me how to handle sin. In verse 9b  we see what Joseph says to Potiphar’s wife as she was trying to get him to sleep with her.

“How could I ever do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against my God.”

and in verse 12 when sin grabbed him, we see his right and perfect reaction.

“She came and grabbed his shirt, demanding, “Sleep with me!” Joseph tore himself away, but as he did, his shirt came off. She was left holding it as he ran from the house.

This passage showed me that when sin comes, I have to ask myself, “How can I ever do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against my God” just as Joseph did. Then if sin jumps into our hands, drop it and RUN the opposite way! Joseph actually couldn’t have handled this horrible situation any better. He was faithful to God and obeyed God, not his carnal instincts.

Let’s be like Joseph in such a way that we run away from sin and try our best to not disrespect our God. AMEN! 🙂 ❤
