Living For Christ: Food For Thought – Day 31

We are quick to say sometimes “I would die for Jesus!”. Jesus’ question isn’t “Will you die for me?”, rather “Will you live for me?” In Philippians 1:19-26, Paul writes that it is great to die and go to be a part of the Kingdom with Christ, but it’s also necessary for him to remain to continue LIVING for Christ and that joy may continue to grow!

Let’s realize that we need to live for Christ everyday. We need to try to do our very best to serve others and the Lord how He wants us to. One day we will join Him in Heaven and I’m sure you want Him to tell you that He is proud of you for living for Him.

God bless you all and have a blessed Sunday!

Keeping Your Mind Focused! Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 31

Too many times do I find myself thinking about the life that’s ahead of me (not heaven). Too many times I stop to think where will I be in 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, and so on. Too many times do I focus on myself and these earthly things, my emotions and feelings, my relationships, my desires. I forgot about an important part of being a Christian. In Colossians 3:2-3 it says “2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with christ in God.” How beautiful is this verse? It once again showed me that I shouldn’t be worked up about my relationships, emotions, and desires, for those are all things of this earth. But I should focus on Heaven and the things above!

Let’s pray that we can stop consuming our time and energy by focusing on our time here on earth, by focusing our time on the things that will one day perish. Let’s focus more on the kingdom of God and His glory. Let’s set our minds on Christ. Later in verses 15-16, it tells us so beautifully “15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. 16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” Let’s really be founded in Christ and His Word and His knowledge and wisdom!

May God Bless you all and i pray that you have a blessed day! AMEN

Judging Others: Food For Thought – Day 30

Today the Lord showed me many things from the book of Romans, however chapter 2:1-4 really stuck out to me. In this passage, we can see Paul preaching to the Romans about their judgement on others. Why is it that we as Christians always find it in us to judge someone else? Why do we think we are so much better? Do we even realize that when we judge someone else, we are being the opposite of love (which is what Christ wants us to be, LOVE)? How are we being love to someone when we are judging them?

I’ve spoken to many people recently who have told me that the reason they didn’t want to go back to church because the people there talk badly about them and they don’t like being judged. Others have told me that they aren’t coming to church because the people in the church are hypocrites and they always say one thing about certain things, then go home and do things that are even worse than the person I would be talking to.

Aren’t you guys sick of this? Aren’t you sick of Christian being categorized into one box of “judgmental” and “hypocrites” and actually in many cases “judgmental hypocrites”? Why don’t we stand up and stop judging the brother who’s stuck in sin? Why don’t we be the ones to approach them before or after a service or whenever we see them, just to offer our friendship? We don’t always have to approach another person with intentions of cramming the Gospel down their throats; but as a matter of fact we need to first approach them as a brother/sister, and friend. After this, they will see a change, a different character in us, that hopefully will help them want to hear you out.

Let’s pray that we stop judging people. That we stop turning our backs to those who need us the most! That we can start to open up our minds, hearts, and arms to those who need it, and remove the stereotype that Christians are “judgmental hypocrites”. Let’s stand for the change in the world that the Lord wants and intends us to be!

God bless you brother/sister! You are loved! If you are in need of prayer requests, anonymous or not, or even to talk to someone for any reason, I will keep our conversations between us and the Lord as I have already with many these past few days! Are You Truly Content?: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 29

Today I read from the book of Philippians and the Lord spoke to me from verses 11-13 where Paul is basically saying to the Philippians that he has learned the secret to happiness! He knows that the secret to happiness is when you are able to be content in all situations and circumstances. He has been hungry and thirsty, but he also lived in plenty! He tells us in verse 13, that everything we can do through Christ who strengthens us!

Now the second question someone would be wondering at this point would be, well “How can you be content in every situation?” Well to be completely honest, there’s only one way. You can try to do this and that and this and that to be content in all your circumstances OR you can leave it all in Christ’s hand! Do you really think your creator will just forget you like that without food, water, shelter, clothes, just like that? If he takes care of the birds of the air who don’t gather up and store food, won’t He take care of you who has much greater value than an animal? In Matthew 6:33 Jesus says to us “Seek first God, and then these things will be added unto you”. This verse has come true and really been evident in my life where when I would give God the reigns from my wagon, He would take control and take me where He wanted and do what He wanted, and that was the key. Submission to the Lord. Seeking Him first before all your own ways! It’s not complicated to comprehend for the most part, however I know that it’s VERY difficult to practice total submission, but the Lord loves you and only wants the best for you so let Him work. Give Him the reigns to your life! Amen!

Praise the Lord and may God bless you all abundantly!

If you need prayer requests and/or want to talk about anything I am open to you and your personal and private matters will remain between us and God. Contact me at 847-322-0518 or by email at jasondumitru@gmail.com. Again may the Lord bless you and may He truly help us find content DAILY!

Don’t Rush Love: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 28

Today I came across a verse that I once found and was truly touched and moved by it! I believe the Lord wanted me to share this because I know a lot of people in my life or in other peoples lives that are really struggling with the fact that they’re single or struggling with trying to find a girlfriend or boyfriend temporarily. However I, forgot this verse and recently have been a little distressed about being single, I was along the same emotions and I battle them everyday, just like many of you. I know and realize that many of you might be single and many of you would like a “boyfriend” or “girlfriend”, but please listen to the word of the Lord, it’s telling us not to rush it. DON’T RUSH LOVE! The second part of Song of Songs 3:5 “Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.” is the passage that that this post is revolving around.

Let’s just really think about our lives and our personal situations. Maybe we’ve been hurt by the one we love, maybe we love someone who doesn’t love us, maybe the one that we love, isn’t the one who God intends for us to be with (you can get married to the wrong person), maybe your stuck in lustful sin (yes by being lustful and actively engaging in lustful sins, you are rushing love), maybe, maybe, maybe, the list can go on forever. Whoever you are, you have had some encounter with love and its emotions.

Now let’s pray that we may listen to and heed the word of the Lord, that we may truly allow God to work in our love lives, because I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure that If the God who created me, also created someone out there who’s actually perfect for me, however I mustn’t rush it. I am praying right along with you for the Lord to strengthen me everyday, so I can fight these feelings and emotions that I have and wait for when the Lord sees me ready to handle the relationship with a beautiful young woman.

Ladies and gents, you don’t want to be “just that guy/girl I dated” or “she/he was a mistake”. You don’t want this for your life. If you want to have succes in your love life and relationship, pursue the Lord first. You won’t be able to love at your true potential without knowing the Lord and His love first! Wait for the Lord to reveal Himself to you in this matter of love and dating because it is very deep and it kind of about the one who’s only going to be with you for the rest of your life right? This is really important and I cannot even cover everything about love in here, because there is soooo much, but this is the basics about waiting. Amen.

Strong Character Development: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 27

Today I read a lot from the book of Romans. In this book there is a lot of “stuff” and I will not take the time to go over all of the content now. However in chapter 5 verses 3 and 4 really touched me. The Word says, “3Not only so, but wealso glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

In these two verses Paul tells us that through our trials and struggles, we should be happy and glorifying the Lord because these will only grow our perseverance, character, and hope!

Let’s pray that God may help us to remain faithful when struggles come, and to help us to not lose  sight of the Kingdom of Heaven through these tough times. For we know that the outcome of these (trials, tests, struggles, tribulations, whatever else you may want to call them), will only lead to amazing things!

God Bless you all! Remember to contact me for any questions or concerns at 847-322-0518, or via email at jasondumitru@gmail.com. Again, may the Lord Bless you! You are loved brother/sister!
