Restoring Faith

In Mark 9 there is a father of a demon possessed boy and he asks the Lord to help his son if he can and Jesus says, “what do you mean if I can, anything is possible if you believe!”, but what i really love more is the mans response which was “I do believe, but help me with my unbelief!” and this is the response that we all need to have. We all need to have a response that admits our mistake and adresses our need for Christ.

So with this in mind, i want to encourage you guys to never forget that God is mighty, God is powerful, God is faithful, God is amazing, so why do we doubt or have unbelief? Because we are imperfect humans. Join me in prayer to have greater reverence of Him and greater faith. Let’s not ever worry about if God can, but when will He or if this is even His will. I have seen God’s hand at work firsthand and have experienced His love and mercy. He surely loves us and blesses us who have faith.

Our Life in God’s Hands!

Man, it has been such a while since I posted. While I was away at college, I had nothing but time, and now coming back home I’m gone for most of the time and have very little. But with prayer I believe God can provide me with the time I need for Him.

Anyways, today God spoke to me personally about my life, but I want to share it with you all. Psalm 119:109 says

“Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law.”

This passage for me, was a reminder that although I have been selfish in my life recently, I have not forgotten God’s laws and His will for my life, which is why I am renewed from my selfishness and am able to humble myself once again.

The Lord is a good and mighty God and He does NOT let His children toil in the mess they’re in without a solution. He gives us an answer and a way, it’s up to us to take it however. Sometimes it may be something we really don’t want to do. To stop being so vague, I will explain myself. Recently I found myself in a mess over a girl that paid me no attention. I kept on trying to show her and talk to her and make things work when in reality to her I wasn’t anything more than a friendly acquaintance. I let this situation I was in start to control my feelings and emotions and they even somewhat changed me. BUT, God had mercy on me and showed me what I have to do and that it’s not in my hands. What I need to do is draw closer to Him and seek first HIS kingdom, not mine, and then all else will fall in place!

God help us to pray and really let go of all things holding us back from having a true and full relationship with God and others. He will help us as long as we are truly sincere and have faith. REMEMBER PRAYER WORKS!!! God bless you brothers and sisters! God loves you!

Day 107

Putting God First

First, I want to apologize. I have been extremely busy and exhausted. I have been really trying to post and text, but I just have been at work or somewhere where I couldn’t. Although I will try to post as often, I don’t think it will be daily anymore, but I will try as often. Thanks for being patient.

In Psalm 16:9, David says “I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” This verse is so beautiful. It reminds me of what exactly I need to be doing and feeling. We as Christians should feel confident and “unshaken” as David says. This is what happens when we put God first and above all other things; money, work, school, purchasing items, moving, and relationships and love (my all-time personal favorite struggle).

When we put God before us in all circumstances, we can have peace. We can be rest easy and be sure that He will handle our situation the ways in which He sees best, and although what we may think is best, He the omnipotent creator probably knows best, wouldn’t you say so yourself?

Let’s do our best to put God before all things and let His hand work in our lives. Lets continually be changed by Him and His presence and Spirit, after all, we are now alive in Him! Glory and praise be to Him!! Amen.

Day 106

Job 28:28, “And this is what he says to

Aside

Job 28:28,

“And this is what he says to all humanity: “The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.”

With this passage in mind, I want us to look at our lives and analyze them. I want us to think, are we truly God fearing? If so, what does God fearing look like? God fearing from my perspective, is being reverent to the Lord’s presence, being fervent in prayer and fast, putting things before Him and allowing Him to work the way in which He sees best. Let’s not be foolish and think that we can do things on our in in any way, even in the small things. God is our rock and we need to fear Him, but not in the wrong way either. We shouldn’t go on about life saying that “I’m not going to do something or do anything major with my life because anyways the rapture is coming, anyways God does what He wants, anyways we are nothing compared to Him.” Instead we should say, I will do my BEST, for the Lord is coming, and I want to please Him well. Take for example the parable with the servants that received talents, one buried his talents and did nothing with them, the others went and reproduced more. Which was better in the end? The ones that went out and multiplied their talents. Have fear, but good fear. Have the right fear!

I hope you have a blessed day and stay strong in all your ways! God bless you! 🙂

Day 105

Guard Your Heart

Proverbs 4:23

“Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything that you do.”

This is a very important verse to our lives because it literally tells us two important things. For one, we should guard our hearts. I believe that when it says guard your heart it means that we need to be careful as Christians because their are many things out there in the world that are impure and dangerous to us, for they draw us away from the Lord.

This verse is crucial to all people, but to the youth especially. Our hearts are fragile while we are young and we tend to be naive. This is where the second part comes in were it says “for it affects everything you do”. We need to make sure we stay focused on Christ and make Him the center. Without Christ being the center of our heart, that means something else is and that means we are doing something wrong. We are living outside of the will that God has for us and that is a dangerous thing for us. We really need to realize that where our heart lies, there also lies our fate.

God bless you and pick up your cross today!

Day 104

A Beautiful Scripture

Yesterday I read this really wonderful passage and I felt the need to share it with you all.

21“Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you. 22Listen to his instructions, and store them in your heart. 23If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored—so clean up your life. 24If you give up your lust for money and throw your precious gold into the river, 25the Almighty himself will be your treasure.
He will be your precious silver! 26“Then you will take delight in the Almighty and look up to God. 27You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him. 28You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you. 29If people are in trouble and you say, ‘Help them,’God will save them. 30Even sinners will be rescued; they will be rescued because your hands are pure.”

This passage really inspired me and encouraged me to really seek the Lord before all. It encouraged me to stop arguing with the one who created you and I. It encouraged me to really try my best and obey His will, even when I am afraid or don’t want to. It encouraged me to remove all idols and to really be conscious about the potential idols I do have in my life. It encouraged me ti keep looking up and praising Him. It encouraged me because it reassured me that He listens to those who delight themselves in Him. It encouraged me because it showed me that with God by my side, I can accomplish anything that is good and pure. With Him by my side, I can do wonders in His name.

I am really really worked up about this passage believe it or not. I really took these words to heart and they have changed me and my mindset. I have taken these words in and now I want to share them with all I can. They are beautiful and wonderful. They picked me up from my rut and set me back on course and I thank God for them.

Let’s pray that we may heed these words daily, that we may praise God, even when it seems that we can’t get with the person we like the most, when it seems like all is lost for a loved one, when friendships are broken and relationships are about to be torn, when we think we are right and God is wrong, let’s remember this passage. Let’s remember to not argue with God and His will and way for our life. Let’s have faith, trust, and be delighted in Him, for if we cannot do this for Him, how can we trust, have faith, and delight in fallen humans? Be encouraged by this verse once again.

God bless you and be strong today. Pick up your cross and heed these words.
