Smooth Success

Today I read from the book of Genesis chapter 39 about Joseph. The main verses that I was very drawn into were verses 3 and the second part of 23. In verse 3 it says:

“Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.”

Verse 23b says:

“The Lord was with him, making everything run smoothly and successfully.”

These two verses here really strike a spot in my heart. They really showed me that God really makes you shine and stand out when you choose Him. God really makes you different and holy and sets you apart from the rest of the world. In this chapter, we can really see that Joseph stood out to the KING! Stood out because all he did was blessed by the Lord. Even when he was wrongly thrown in prison, he still stood out and became in charge of the prisoners while he was there. God gave Joseph authority because he listened and obeyed Him. That’s what God calls each one of us to be as well. To be faithful servants who not only act like we are Christians, but to also have faith like one too! While Joseph was facing tough times, he did not lose heart and knew and had faith that his great and mighty God, our great and mighty God, would be with him and use him for a greater purpose.

We need to be like Joseph and really stand out. We need to really put our best effort in doing anything and everything, because the Lord will only bless His faithful and righteous servant! Joseph ended up being 2nd in command. How crazy is that? 2nd in command in your nation! That’s quite an achievement. He only became 2nd in command because God was first in command in his life. We have to be like Joseph. Faithful, righteous, true, and good. In time God will transform us and use us for His glory how He sees fit and He will set us apart from the world and give us authority in other ways. Let’s take Joseph as an example and really be faithful to God. He will provide and give us success in everything we do as well. He will make the rough patches in our lives run smooth and He will take care of us! Amen

God bless you and thank you very much for taking your time to read this post. May you have a blessed and wonderful day!
