Constantly Changing: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 54

Recently I’ve been trying to really focus all of my thoughts on heaven, the Lord, and other heavenly things. God has really worked in my heart and changed me, but I’m very joyful that the change hasn’t stopped. I am glad that the change is constant and continual and that is a true blessing. It is important that we realize that our change has to be constant. We have to be new and renewed every single day. Each and every day we must pray and want to change in a more positive Christ-like way.

In Ephesians 4:21-24 the Bible says

“Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.”

This passage is so beautiful. It really reminds us that because of Christ, we must constantly change. We must continue to throw away the deeds, thoughts, and words our evil nature. We must be constantly be renewed by the Spirit and we must display this renewal because we are made new through God. We need to constantly be righteous, holy and true!

I challenge you as I am challenging myself. Let us continue to be renewed and changed by His Spirit and presence. Let’s be examples of change and renewal!

God bless you all and have a great night. May God continue to shine through you and help us all continue to change. Amen!
