Love Without Pain: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 37

Today I read Romans 13:8-14. Paul teaches us that basically when we love, we won’t live in sin anymore. When we love, we won’t do things that produce an opposite effect of love.

When we love someone, we do whatever we can to not hurt or offend them right? That’s exactly what Paul is telling us will happen in our lives when we love others. We will love others so much we won’t lie to them, we won’t steal from them, we won’t say anything offensive to them, we won’t hurt them with our actions, we won’t murder, rape, etc. This is what has to happen in our love for God. We have to love God so much, that we won’t watch pornography anymore. We love God so much that we won’t have sex with our girlfriends whom we claim to “love”. We won’t cheat on tests, we won’t steal a candy bar, we won’t use foul language, we won’t want to do anything that the Lord hates. We won’t do anything that will cause the Lord to hurt, to be in pain, or suffering.

Although He is so Mighty and Great, He still is hurt by our poor decisions. He does feel sadness, anger, disappointment  and other emotions, because after all He is the one who created them. How can a lover of Christ be okay with hurting Him with poor decisions and committing sins and trespassing against Him?

Let’s pray that we can receive a love that makes us think twice, a love that convicts, and a love that brings us to our knees!

God bless you all and know that we are serving a Lord who loves, a Lord who saves, and  Lord that forgives. As always, you can call, message, text, anything to get in touch with me. My cell is 847-322-0518, Email is jasondumitru@gmail.com, skype is jasondumitru.

P.S. the guy who I spoke to briefly yesterday, if you’re reading this, I think you lost connection on skype. I tried calling back but it didn’t work. I still want to talk to you.

Again God Bless you all have a great day!
