Are You Truly Content?: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 29

Today I read from the book of Philippians and the Lord spoke to me from verses 11-13 where Paul is basically saying to the Philippians that he has learned the secret to happiness! He knows that the secret to happiness is when you are able to be content in all situations and circumstances. He has been hungry and thirsty, but he also lived in plenty! He tells us in verse 13, that everything we can do through Christ who strengthens us!

Now the second question someone would be wondering at this point would be, well “How can you be content in every situation?” Well to be completely honest, there’s only one way. You can try to do this and that and this and that to be content in all your circumstances OR you can leave it all in Christ’s hand! Do you really think your creator will just forget you like that without food, water, shelter, clothes, just like that? If he takes care of the birds of the air who don’t gather up and store food, won’t He take care of you who has much greater value than an animal? In Matthew 6:33 Jesus says to us “Seek first God, and then these things will be added unto you”. This verse has come true and really been evident in my life where when I would give God the reigns from my wagon, He would take control and take me where He wanted and do what He wanted, and that was the key. Submission to the Lord. Seeking Him first before all your own ways! It’s not complicated to comprehend for the most part, however I know that it’s VERY difficult to practice total submission, but the Lord loves you and only wants the best for you so let Him work. Give Him the reigns to your life! Amen!

Praise the Lord and may God bless you all abundantly!

Don’t Rush Love: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 28

Today I came across a verse that I once found and was truly touched and moved by it! I believe the Lord wanted me to share this because I know a lot of people in my life or in other peoples lives that are really struggling with the fact that they’re single or struggling with trying to find a girlfriend or boyfriend temporarily. However I, forgot this verse and recently have been a little distressed about being single, I was along the same emotions and I battle them everyday, just like many of you. I know and realize that many of you might be single and many of you would like a “boyfriend” or “girlfriend”, but please listen to the word of the Lord, it’s telling us not to rush it. DON’T RUSH LOVE! The second part of Song of Songs 3:5 “Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.” is the passage that that this post is revolving around.

Let’s just really think about our lives and our personal situations. Maybe we’ve been hurt by the one we love, maybe we love someone who doesn’t love us, maybe the one that we love, isn’t the one who God intends for us to be with (you can get married to the wrong person), maybe your stuck in lustful sin (yes by being lustful and actively engaging in lustful sins, you are rushing love), maybe, maybe, maybe, the list can go on forever. Whoever you are, you have had some encounter with love and its emotions.

Now let’s pray that we may listen to and heed the word of the Lord, that we may truly allow God to work in our love lives, because I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure that If the God who created me, also created someone out there who’s actually perfect for me, however I mustn’t rush it. I am praying right along with you for the Lord to strengthen me everyday, so I can fight these feelings and emotions that I have and wait for when the Lord sees me ready to handle the relationship with a beautiful young woman.

Ladies and gents, you don’t want to be “just that guy/girl I dated” or “she/he was a mistake”. You don’t want this for your life. If you want to have succes in your love life and relationship, pursue the Lord first. You won’t be able to love at your true potential without knowing the Lord and His love first! Wait for the Lord to reveal Himself to you in this matter of love and dating because it is very deep and it kind of about the one who’s only going to be with you for the rest of your life right? This is really important and I cannot even cover everything about love in here, because there is soooo much, but this is the basics about waiting. Amen.

Strong Character Development: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 27

Today I read a lot from the book of Romans. In this book there is a lot of “stuff” and I will not take the time to go over all of the content now. However in chapter 5 verses 3 and 4 really touched me. The Word says, “3Not only so, but wealso glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

In these two verses Paul tells us that through our trials and struggles, we should be happy and glorifying the Lord because these will only grow our perseverance, character, and hope!

Let’s pray that God may help us to remain faithful when struggles come, and to help us to not lose  sight of the Kingdom of Heaven through these tough times. For we know that the outcome of these (trials, tests, struggles, tribulations, whatever else you may want to call them), will only lead to amazing things!

God Bless you all! Remember to contact me for any questions or concerns at 847-322-0518, or via email at jasondumitru@gmail.com. Again, may the Lord Bless you! You are loved brother/sister!

A Beautiful Illustration Of Our Lord’s Forgiveness: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 26

Imagine if you were a man whose wife had just cheated on you with another man. Or for you ladies, imagine if your husband cheated on you with another woman. The question is, what would you do? Would you forgive him or her for what they did, or divorce them and say “forget you”? Most of us would most likely say “forget you”. However a beautiful thing the Lord showed me today was in Jeremiah 3. Throughout the entire passage, the Lord is constantly asking His children of Israel and Judah to come back and to return to Him. The beauty of God, is that in the first example I have given you, the Lord has already given us in Jeremiah 3:1 where you see the beauty of the Lord’s forgiveness towards us. We sin and cheat on Him everyday when we choose sin and worthless idols over Him!

Lets pray that we may come back to Him and repent for the evil we do against Him, for the meaningless temporary satisfaction we choose over Him. And let us be reverent to the fact that the Lord is so loving that he would take us back as we are. Not only that, but we should be the same towards others! Amen! God Bless and may He be with you in all you do!

Prayer requests are welcome, and if anyone wants to talk, let me know jasondumitru@gmail.com or 847-322-0518! I love you all!

Trusting In The Lord: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 25

Today I read from Jeremiah 16:5-10. The Lord spoke to me in this passage teaching me that placing my trust in humans (this means myself included) is foolish and blessed is my way if I trust in Him because He is the living water! I want to share this with you all so that you may do the same. In this passage there is some very profound similes and metaphors that show us the very bad side of trusting in humans and not the Lord Himself, but also the beauty of the opposite, actually trusting in Him. Take a look and see for yourself!

The other profound message in this passage is found in verses 9 and 10. In verse 9 the Lord tells us that the human heart is deceitful and wicked. He goes on to tell us in verse 10 that He knows our hearts are deceitful and that He searches our hearts and knows our secret motives! He also tells us that He will give us our due rewards and bless us according to what our actions deserve.

Let’s pray that we can put all of our trust in the Lord and not in humans (this includes ourselves) and let’s pray that we don’t allow our hearts to deceive us and that we may consult the Lord in all we do and all our decisions! Amen

God Bless you all and i love you all fellow brothers and sisters! ❤ 🙂

Living Examples Of Change: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 24

Today I read from 1 Timothy 4. The verses that really stuck out to me were verses 11-16. Verse 11 and 12 goes on to tell us and explain to us that we shouldn’t give others reason or motives to think less of us, instead, we should be examples in all our lives, in our love, our faith, and our purity.

Then in verse 13 Paul goes on to tell us to focus on reading the Scriptures to the church, encouraging the believers, and teaching them. He didn’t say these words for nothing. He really meant them and we should heed these words and practice what is preached. This goes back to the previous devotions regarding truly growing in scripture!

In verses 15 through 16 Paul tells us to jump into all the tasks we have whole-heartedly so that others, Christians and non-Christians may see our progress!

Finally in verse 16, which is so crucial to our lives as followers of Jesus Christ, to closely watch what we say and do as well as watch what we teach. Those around us are watching and we need to positive influences on them for the sake of their salvation as well as ours!

Let’s really try to do our best in being examples especially because most of us are young, and we really need to heed the words of Paul. We have influence on those around us and we need to strive to make it a positive Christ-like influence! Let’s pray that the Lord may keep us strong regardless of our age, and that we may boldly proclaim His name. Not only proclaiming His Word, but boldly LIVING it, by doing all we are assigned by Him with a glad and eager heart!

Again guys remember to check out the prayer list and pray for those folks who need prayer and if you would like us to pray for you as well, let me know! God Bless you all. I love you my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior!

Hungry For Food: Food For Thought – Daily Devotional Day 23

Today the Lord inspired me from the book of 1 Peter 2:2, which says “As newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.” this verse is so crucial and important for our lives as believers. This verse is key to us if we are truly desiring to know God more. We need to strive and hunger for His Word more and more.

In this verse apostile Paul compares how our desire should be, in the form of a simile. He says that as a baby has the need for milk, we should as Christians and lovers of God, desire to know the Word, want it, read it more.

The Bible is the word of God and the Word is God as John 1:1 tells us “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” We shouldn’t be reading to fill up a quota for our daily intake, but to read from a true desire to hear God speak His word into out lives and to truly want to change through reading and listening these wonderful words!

Let’s pray that we may continue to grow spiritually and continue to DESIRE reading the Scriptures more and more. Not for our expansion of knowledge (although that will come along with reading it) but for a true desire to KNOW God and His will for our lives, and for a true desire to CHANGE and not remain the same as yesterday. If we aren’t growing as Christians, then it should brings us to question our faith and what we are doing incorrectly! God Bless you all! May we continue to hear and listen to the voice of God together!

As a reminder if there is ever a need for prayer requests, let me know and i will post them up for people to see! If you need someone to talk to my ears and heart is open for anyone! Again God Bless and have and AWESOME DAY!!!!
